Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Summit
Metro State University’s WINGS Program invites area youth to participate in the Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Summit on April 12! This free experience will introduce youth to amazing workshops, an opportunity to learn about developing their personal brand and participate in a service opportunity—all while gaining the experience to be on a university campus.
Registration is required, window closes on March 31.

Immigration Policy: A Follow Up
This event is a follow up presentation and discussion from November 2024 featuring the Borene Law Firm regarding post-election implications for international students, immigrants, and institutions.

2025 Understanding and Responding to Mass Incarceration (URMI) Conference: Wrongful Conviction, Wrongful Incarceration
Come join us on April 11th from 8am to 4:30 pm in the Auditorium to listen to and amplify the voices of those whose lives have been disrupted by wrongful conviction and incarceration. We will explore these critical issues and offer specific action steps toward systemic change.

The Box, film screening and discussion
We invite you to come to the Auditorium on April 10 to enjoy a short film screening!
The short film (16 minutes) will be followed by a discussion facilitated by Five Mualimm-ak, a survivor of solitary confinement and one of the three people featured in the documentary.

Off the Wall Poetry: 70 Poems in 70 Days
The Metro State Library invites you to “Off The Wall Poetry: 70 Poems in 70 Days” on April 10! Metro State students, faculty, staff, and alumni will be reading work that was created during a “70 poems in 70 days” challenge, where participants agreed to write one poem each day for 70 days starting on January 1.

A possibly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity has presented itself to Metro Students in the form of a study abroad summer program in Japan! There are two information sessions you may attend, both over Zoom. While immersing yourself in Japanese culture, you can also earn 4 credits for HIST 72A: History of Japanese Popular Culture. The Partners in Prevention (PIP) Clinic is open to the public each Thursday until the 24th of April 2025!
This free community clinic provides:
- Advanced cardiac screening
- Blood pressure checks
- Clinical hand massage
- Community resources
- Dental screening
- Health coaching
- Pre-diabetes screening
- Incentives
PIP offers its services free of charge to members of the community, and no registration is required.
