Earlier today, 25 individuals in Minnesota were charged by Federal prosecutors on Drug Conspiracy Charges. The charges are against two separate organizations named “G Block Gang” and ‘Family Mob Gang.” It was a joint investigation including members of the DEA, FBI, Hennepin County Sheriffs and Minneapolis Police Departments, while being headed by U.S. Attorney Daniel Rosen. Narcotics and firearms were seized.

On February 25th, 12 people were arrested in connection with Family Mob Gang. Charged with distributing “3.5 million doses of Fentanyl” in South Minneapolis along East Lake Street, specifically open-air drug markets on the intersections of Lake and Park and Lake and Chicago, an area known to locals as “The Wall.” Nine more defendants were added to the previous indictment, along with new charges including murder. Original indictments only included drug conspiracy offenses, with intent to distribute narcotics such as Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and Crack Cocaine.

“Today’s announcements are a continuation of our aggressive efforts to secure the streets of Minneapolis and the clutches of those who seek to poison our communities with deadly drugs and spread violence throughout our neighborhoods,” stated FBI Minneapolis Field Office Special Agent in Charge Christopher D. Dotson in a press conference.

Family Mob Gang is based in South Minneapolis, with its origins going back to the late 90s and early 2000s. Federal Authorities claim they have ties to Homicides, and a Mass Shooting in the East Lake area dating back to last September to go along with the drug trafficking.
