Rebecca Haven

Editor

Rebecca is currently getting her Project Management Certificate in the COM at Metropolitan State University. She earned a BA in Creative Writing from Metropolitan State in 2006 during which she held the titles of Business Office/Ad Manager and Associate Editor at the Metropolitan. Rebecca took over as Editor fall of 2007 while persuing her MS in Technical Communication (completed in Dec. 2008). In her spare time, which isn't much, she likes to read, watch awful television shows and avoid remodeling her kitchen. She loves working for the Metropolitan because it has allowed her to expand her editing and management skills, meet some wonderful writers and people and work with students who are excited to learn the craft.

Caileena Lind

Associate Editor

Jocelyn Stone

Associate Editor

Jocelyn is a new addition to the staff as an associate editor. After 15 years as a hair colorist and educator for local upscale salons, she has transitioned into freelance writing for area businesses as well as local media. Jocelyn is currently working towards her Professional Writing major at Metro State and is very excited to expand her writing and editing skills while working at the Metropolitan. When she isn’t writing or studying, Jocelyn loves reading a good book at home with her beagle, Plato, at her feet or, when time and money allow, traveling to different parts of the country or the world.

Torleif Sorenson

Production Manager

Born in a tiny fishing village on Norway's rugged coastline, Tor initially trained to be a classical musician, but later decided to take up commercial deep-sea fishing. However, on a stormy winter afternoon in 1992, evil Swedish gangsters boat-jacked his ship and forced Tor and his heroic Norwegian crew to sail to a garbage-strewn port in New Jersey. The crew escaped unharmed, but four of the evil Swedish gangsters ingested large quantities of Russian vodka and stale lutefisk, became delusional, and firebombed Tor's boat. The evil gangsters eluded the FBI and New Jersey State Police and fled back to Sweden. Undaunted, Tor set out to seek his fortune here in America by settling in the Twin Cities, rekindling his love of music, and instantly becoming an experienced technical support analyst. After four years in Colorado as a technical writer and web developer and a second job as a classical music host and radio producer, he has returned to Minnesota, where he is seeking work in technical writing, documentation and/or project coordination. Tor’s broad experience as a trusted technical writer gives him, amongst other things, the authority to make up portions of his own biography.
