Upper Minnetonka Sailing School
Upper Minnetonka Sailing School is excited about beginning its new adult sailing program. Starting in early summer 2008, three programs will be offered for adults and teens (age 16+). All of these offerings are personalized to the needs of the individual students.
"Learn to Sail" is the core program. Students will meet on Enchanted Island to board stable, dry 23' Ensign or Catalina sailboats. Class size is limited to three students per boat with an onboard instructor. At the end of the course, students will be able to sail by themselves comfortably, and will be invited to crew in an Upper Minnetonka Yacht Club race. The 12-hour class meets over the course of four days and will be offered June through September, weekends or weeknights. Schedules provide a variety of flexible options.
Led by Captain Joan Gilmore, all instructors are friendly, knowledgeable and American Sailing Association certified, with current first aid and CPR skills.
If two or more people sign-up together they receive a discount. So ask a friend or spouse to join you and get ready for a great time.
