Chicago Cuatro Orchestra to play at Metropolitan State University

The Otto Bremer Foundation, Metropolitan State Univeristy and the University of Wisconsin - River Falls are proud to present the Chicago Cuatro Orchestra on September 21, 2007, at the St. Paul campus, Auditorium, 700 E. Seventh St., St. Paul from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

The Chicago Cuatro Orchestra was founded in 1996 with the purpose of creating a cultural program to preserve Puerto Rico's national instrument, the cuatro. The cuatro is a plucked string instrument with five sets of two strings with a traced history of more than 300 years. The orchestra has performed at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Center, Chicago Historic Society, Chicago's Field Museum, Chicago Children's Museum, Chicago Cultural Center, the historic Chicago Theater and in many other cultural venues.
