Letter to the Editor |
Dear Editor,
I read with interest the Wednesday, 1 February, St. Paul Pioneer Press article about St. Paul’s proposed student fee. I found it ironic that the administrations of St. Paul’s colleges and universities are so opposed to this student fee. It was only a matter of time that civil government would want in on the student fleecing that colleges have been perpetrating for years. Student service fees fund such dubious things as homosexual activist groups, and other political groups. My only guess is that the universities are upset that some one else is getting in on their turf. Students should oppose all fees, not just the ones proposed by the St. Paul City Council.
Sincerely,
Benjamin Powers Students Against Fee Excess President 1995-97
