Beef up your resume and change the world Are you about to graduate and need some experience to fill out your résumé? Admission Possible, a nonprofit organization located in St. Paul, seeks 20 full-time associates to help low-income high school students gain admission to college. Successful applicants will gain valuable work experience and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of low-income students. Compensation for the 10- or 12-month positions include free health insurance, an approximately $10,000 living allowance, the option to defer student loans for the duration of service, and a $4,725 education award that can be used to pay existing student loans or future education expenses. Service begins in fall 2005 and applications are due by March 21. Since it was founded in 2000, Admission Possible has helped 95 percent of the students it has served earn admission to college. The organization identifies students with the motivation and potential for college, and then provides them with ACT/SAT test preparation, intensive assistance with college and financial aid applications, and support during their transition from high school to college.
