New financial aid associate director appointed
Lucy Ross of Maplewood has been appointed financial aid associate director for Metropolitan State University by President Wilson G. Bradshaw, effective June 11.
Ross will assist in planning, organizing and implementing a comprehensive student financial aid assistance program. The current program serves approximately 4,000 students and disburses more than $25 million annually. Ross is primarily responsible for daily management, supervision and quality assurance functions of the information processing team, and serves as director in the director’s absence.
She comes to Metropolitan State from Concordia University in St. Paul, where she has been assistant financial aid director for seven years. Previous to that, Ross was an Upward Bound/TRIO advisor for Century College.
Ross holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire and an M.S. in guidance and counseling from the University of Wisconsin, Stout.
