Psychology Club supports students’ professional pursuits

-- Jennifer A. Nurnberg, psychology club president

Metropolitan State University Psychology Club provides support services and social outlets for all university students and alumni with an interest in psychology and/or fields psychological in nature. The club provides members with access to psychology professionals both as speakers and advisors, psychology and nonpsychology-related seminars, conferences, and events as well as career pathing and planning services including graduate program information.

The Psychology Club will accept students who are registered at or are alumni of Metropolitan State University. All students expressing an interest in psychology or a related field will be considered for club membership. Membership is gained by submitting an application, which can be found online at the link listed below. Paper applications are available on the Psychology Club bulletin board outside the Psych Lab (New Main) or in the Psych Lab (ask an attendant). Membership is maintained by either remaining a student at, or graduating from, Metropolitan State University. In either case, it is the responsibility of the member to apprise a current club officer of updated contact information.

Psychology Club meetings are held once a month during the regular school year. Scheduled times and locations for meetings are posted regularly. Visit our website or Psych Club bulletin board for current information.

The first event of the 2005-2006 academic year, Meet & Greet, will be held on Saturday, Aug. 27, time and location to be announced. Participants will discuss the various fields of psychology and become acquainted with Club members.
