University hosts free concert

Metropolitan State University presents The Great Winter Festival II: Artistry at its very best as the third of a five-concert series of the Minnesota Sinfonia conducted by Jay Fishman.
The concert will feature international award-winning cellist Matt Haimovitz performing Robert Schumann’s "Concerto in A Minor." Haimovitz has soloed with every major orchestra in the world and will now maae his Sinfonia debut.
The Great Winter Festival II will take place on Friday, Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. in the university’s Auditorium, St. Paul Campus. The concert is free and open to the public.

The next concerts presented by the university are on Fridays, Feb. 2 and March 2.
