Student practices her craft while chronicling Minnesota’s seasons
-- Photo essay

"Winter Delight" was taken in my front yard. Snow flakes kept hitting me in the eye as they came down. I thought it would be interesting to take a picture to see how they would look at night. Snow falling in Minnesota is just as beautiful at night as it is during the day if not more. It is not only intriguing, but mysterious. |

"Ripples" and "Journeys" were taken at Taylor’s Falls in the fall when the colors of the trees were changing. Shades of red, green, yellow and orange is what you will see all over if you go to Taylor’s Fall in late October. I like to go hiking there at least once or twice a year. Walking a trail, seeing where it leads me, the many views Taylor’s Falls has to offer is another reason. It is a great place to reflect on my inner thoughts and get out of the big city for a little bit. To me, fall is the best time to go and appreciate one of our four seasons of Minnesota. |
