Around the world in one evening The International Student Organization (ISO) at Metropolitan State University hosted their Annual Cultural Heritage Night on Friday, Nov. 4, 2005.Rightly themed “Around the World,” the rich, colorful cultural program consisted of two parts: Guests were first served with a delicious Middle Eastern dinner and Spanish dessert; then they experienced a vivid and exhilarating cultural show. The cultural show was comprised of performances that aptly reflected the broad cultural diversity of Metropolitan State University...... H-Project raising awareness for the Hmong left behind in Laos Akin to the “We are the World” album single released in the 1980s for the famine in Africa, the “H-Project: Silence No More” compilation CD is hoping to raise awareness for the Hmong trapped in the jungles of Laos. Featuring artists such as Delicious Venom, Shattered Echo’Z, and Watching Leona, the CD has a variety of music, including spoken word, hip-hop, and rock. “The H stands for Hmong,” explained Kathy Mouacheupao, an organizer and sponsor of the CD.......
